Now for some summer sunshine from Dana of five30three. On her blog, Dana dishes on her life as a new momma, as well as her love for style, jewelry and anything craftsy. Today, she has parties in mind. Summertime is partytime. And partytime means hostess gifts. Dana has gathered up some fabulous hostess gift ideas, really cute stuff. Maybe you’ll want to plan your next party and hope one of these is for you.

Hi all, I’m Dana from five30three. A lifelong crafter and amateur artist who has taken a sabbatical from all things creative (aside from blogging) to focus on my baby son. I actually thought my blog was going to focus on all things crafty, homemade and delicious, but then life sort of got in the way.
I’m hoping to be up to speed with Amy any day now and be able to get my crafting and cooking back on…and still have time to blog about it. I seriously don’t know how she does it with multiple kiddos.
But let’s talk about the real reason we’re all here today: Sum-sum-summertime!
In my circle summer cocktail parties, barbeques and picnics are in full swing. And since I haven’t had much time to cook or throw my own parties lately, I have been working on making my contribution to all these fiestas a bit more personal and memorable.
Why bring chips and guacamole in their original plastic containers when you can display them on an awesome platter for the hostess to keep? And if you’re going to bring a 12-pack of beer, why not ditch that awkward cardboard box and bring it in a drink tub instead?
So if you’re not into handmade gifts or homemade desserts and side dishes (or if you’re simply taking a sabbatical like me), here are a few gift ideas for your lovely host or hostess that will surely be remembered long after the night is over.
1 // Outdoor Metal Drink Bucket* Ditch that cardboard box for a fun alternative to display beer and wine bottles *2 // Farmer’s Egg Crate
* To keep those store-bought or homemade deviled eggs from rolling around *
* The flowers you brought aren’t going to hold themselves upright *
4 // Coral Round Caddy
* A convenient station for plastic utensils, straws and cute little napkins *
5 // Cobalt Ring Glass Pitcher
* Even the guys will drink the Skinny Girl Margarita or Sangria if you pour the bottle into this guy *
6 // Circular Cheese Board and Tool Set
* Because who goes to a party without cheese? *
7 // Pedestal Cake Stand
* Put those bakery-purchased cookies and cupcakes on a pedestal *
8 // Hanging Glass Tealight Set
* Because you know how to light up a room, even if you can’t cook *
9 // Placecard Holders
* Doubles as food display tags so people stop asking “What the heck is that?” *
10 // Chip and Dip
* At least pretend that your store-bought guacamole is homemade by giving it to your hostess in this display *
Thanks so much for hosting such a fun summer series. Cannot wait to check out all the other guest posts. Thanks again for having me, Amy!
I love the egg crate, not really sure why I don’t own one yet! The drink tub is always a favorite of mine too and for some reason it always seems more refreshing pulling a drink out drenched in ice!
