Hey guys! Lexy from The Proper Pinwheel here. I’m so excited to be back at This Heart of Mine. Amy is fantastic and has a lot of fun stuff lined up for the summer. Today, I wanted to share with you quite possibly one of the easiest summer desserts you’ll ever make. This is one of my faves because it’s super easy and super delicious. As always, I prefer homemade treats, but sometimes you’re in a bind and that’s where this shortcake comes in handy.
To make your own you’ll need:
angel food cake
whipped cream
sweetened condensed milk
assorted berries
Slice your angel food cake horizontally into 3 or 4 thin layers. Drizzle the bottom tier with sweetened condensed milk and then top with a few dollops of whipped cream. Place berries around the edge. Layer with another tier of cake and repeat all of the steps until you’ve used up all of your tiers. Refrigerate for one hour and serve. So delicious! The condensed milk gives this treat a Tres Leches taste that is to die for. Enjoy!

Thanks Lexy!
Man does this sound great! And it looks so pretty! I just might have to head back to the store for this stuff for our 4th of July bbq. Minds will be blown.
