A couple of weekends ago, I asked my college friend, lifestyle and small business photographer Kristine Erickson, to take a few photos of me (she took photos for me a few years ago, too). I wanted a new profile image and we all know MJ is a photographer wildcard. Then, it worked out that she could come to our house and she was able to capture ‘in process’ shots. I adore them.
As I’ve said before, I feel very awkward in front of the camera even with a friend taking the photos. Kristine was so kind and calmed my anxious chatter. :) I was working on this post at the time. What do you think of the behind-the-scenes peek?
This is how the magic happens. Haha!
My work space gets lovely light during the day, one of the reasons it is the room I work in. I just love these shots.
My work space. It’s not grand but it works.
Then we worked on the profile shot options. This was the most awkward.
My bulletin board filled with colorful bits from everywhere made a nice background.
Then we headed outside. It was a little nippy and I was wearing high heels but it was an adventure.
I love my winter coat. I feel feminine in it. It’s the first real winter coat I’ve purchased in my adult life. I will be a little sad when it’s too warm to wear come spring. Not too sad however. :)
Whenever I can decide on a sidebar layout, I have my pick of new profile images.
Thank you so much Kristine for your work, your skill and your professionalism! You again made an awkward subject look less so. :)
If you are in the Twin Cities area and are in need of a photographer, Kristine is a great choice.
Take care.
Beautiful shots!
