I had one of those not-so-fun personal weeks last week. Life is not always smoochy photos and giggles; there are some bad and ugly parts. There is hurt and pain. However, I was reminded of how much more good there is than bad and how much good I have in my life. The good – the joy, the laughter, the smiles, the genuineness – wins by a landslide.
One of my most favoritest people, my momma, sent me a short email about attitude and I wanted to share it with you.
Attitude
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.

So come what may, I am choosing to see the good, be the good and believe there is good. Even if sometimes it’s hard to see.
Take care.
really wise words Amy. For us believing in the good is something we strive for but can always use another reminder of so thank you for it! Hope this week is better for you!
Thank you Miss Lindsey. It was a better week.
Love you, dearie : )
Love you too.
Thank you for that lovely piece! ATTITUDE and GRATITUDE … those components can really make the difference in our ongoing happiness, despite the fact that we all face days that are difficult — loss, illness, pain, stress. I am so blessed that I do have that capacity to see the glass as approaching full, and so glad to have a glass at all! — peace, dc
Attitude and gratitude are essential. And yes, it is a blessing to have a glass as at. Thanks for sharing Donna. :)
This is just what I needed to hear today. I agree with this 100%! Hope things are ok, much love to you and yours! XO
Thanks Rachel! You are so sweet.
