Ballerina Headband

Easy Headband for a Ballerina Costume | this heart of mine

Sometimes, the best costume is store bought. Easy is good. We found a darling ballerina costume and Love Bug we couldn’t pass it up. (We found it at H&M.) It doesn’t require any work, minus appropriate cold weather additions for the actual treat night. But I couldn’t not meddle. I had to make something. A fluttery, butterfly headband was perfect for my ballerina.

I made my little wired butterflies. Using my Cricut, I cut small butterflies out of thin, transparent handmade paper. I wanted them to really flutter. Then I sandwiched a dab of hot glue between two paper butterflies on the wire and used stick glue to connect the wings on either side. If you aren’t up for DIYing it, I’m certain you can find faux butterflies in a craft store.

Arrange them how you will and attached them to the headband with wire.

Then don your bun, tutu and flats and point your toes.
