Before We Go…

Where did the week go? Wow. Between the stay-cation and catching up on work and starting the house switcharoo, time has all but disappeared. I’ve been sharing a few pictures of our adventures via Instagram. You can follow me at amy_thisheartofmine.

With all of this going on, I’m trying to remember that life isn’t a race. That I get to set the pace. Well… I can regulate it anyway. I don’t have to capitulate to an unyielding, maniacal pace just because I think I’m supposed to. There is a whole lot in life that should not be missed and there is stuff that can wait. Sometimes it’s hard to separate because want and need lines get crossed.

I love the creative work I get to do. I like blogging and all the planning, preparing and sharing that goes along with it. I have some exciting things coming up that I will share more about in the coming weeks and I have a whole host of things I want to share. I really do! However, my children, my family come first. And from that, the rest of my plans are determined. It might not be the quickest pace but it will be an enjoyable journey.

Thanks for being patient with me and sticking around. I appreciate your patronage. :)

Links to check:

  • The Olympics are over but it can still teach us things. Watch out, it may cause watery eyes. Thanks Aunt L!

Things For Which I’m Thankful:

  • Cool air. Not too cool though. Not just yet.
  • Sleeping with the windows open. (Not only that, having the windows open all day!)
  • Getting rid of stuff!! I am on a mission…
  • The laughter of my children, snuggles with them and moments spent looking into their sparkly eyes.
  • Laughs shared with my husband.

Have a great weekend!

Take care.

The image is from our time in Iowa. I hope to share more pictures next week.
