Before We Go…

Bug and some springy flowers

I haven’t done much in the way of blogging or internet-ing or creating this week. Like none in all categories. With MJ gone, the week has been longer than usual even with the family we’ve fortunately seen. I am definitely looking forward to life going back to normal.

Instead of sharing Links to Check (’cause I haven’t looked at anything) or listing the post from the week (’cause there’s nothing to list), I made a different list:

Post from the week: Things I did instead of blogging/creating:

  • Drove 550 miles alone with two children and we are all alive and as mentally sane as can be expected. Just a footnote – The final leg of this trip started at 3:30am and I still got Bug to preschool on time with freshly-baked-cookie-filled May baskets in tow. I’m patting myself on the back about that one. :)
  • Sweated it out as severe storms passed nearby. Every time he is gone….
  • Got a sweet little black dress for $15. Love small town shopping!
  • Set up our outside patio, right before monsoon-like rain.
  • Scheming about a couple of important birthdays coming up.
Sweet J telling me he needed me.

  • Finally got a keyboard tray for my computer desk. Thanks Dad!!
  • Fished an old cellphone out of the toilet. As always, thanks Sweet J.
  • Got to snuggle with my children in various beds.
  • Laughed until I cried on multiple occasions. It feels so good.
  • Picked up 101 things Sweet J threw down the steps. It’s some sort of science experience, right?
  • Snagged sweet pink fairy wings for Love Bug at a garage sale. The best part: she thanked me for thinking of her.
  • After all the screeching stops, Bug’s worn bike tires got replaced. Thanks again Dad.
  • Giggled while corking wine bottles with Mom and PC.
Discussing spring flowers together.

  • Started a cleaning binge. Thought I wasn’t going to do one this spring because I didn’t feel the need but then it hit me. Watch out, I’m feeling ruthless.
  • Thoroughly enjoyed the family we saw. I really do have THE BEST family.
  • Laughed with my children and enjoyed their silliness.
  • Missed my husband like crazy. I think I only asked him to come home immediately every day, every time I talked to him. Only a few more hours…

Riveting right? I agree. :)

Here’s to the freakin’ weekend! Have a great one.

See you Monday.

Take care.
