Checking in from SLC

Tulle Skirt | this heart of mine

Heeeeellooooooo!!

I so intended to post more this week but just couldn’t get it done. My speaking panel was yesterday morning and it went great. As in I didn’t pass out or say ridiculously weird things. I did however pit out and my palms were the sweatiest I can remember them being in a very long time. But I made it through and feel much less stressed.

This is the skirt/outfit I’m wearing tonight for the mini parties and I’m so excited about it because I made the skirt! On the spectrum of difficulty, it ranks right above the ‘it’s so simple monkeys could do it’ level, but I worked really hard on it and didn’t make very many mistakes so I’m counting it as a success. It does take up a suitcase all its own but I love it so it doesn’t matter.

As usual the conference is lovely and I’m so glad to be here. I feel invigorated and inspired, I feel pampered and spoiled and being around friends and colleagues is so enjoyable; my face hurts a little from smiling so much.

I miss you guys and I’m looking forward to getting back to regular life, in both my home and here on the blog with renewed vigor.

Have a wonderful weekend and see you back here on Monday.

Take care.

P.S. I took advantage of my newly trimmed and styled hair for this shot. If only I could get it to look like by myself. :)
