Experiments

Experiments | this heart of mine

Happy Friday!

I am so ready for the weekend. We’ve had a flurry of appliances and electronics fail/stop working/need repair; I’ve had it with adulthood for the week. It’s not like the responsibilities end over the weekend but at least MJ is home with us. And we can nap at anytime.

So 2014. It’s been a weird year creatively for me so far. I’ve been struggling with a lack of inspiration and endless questions about direction. A real drag I tell you. I’ve also been very consciously working on the ever elusive work/life balance. I feel like the struggle has shown in my work. My game has been off and I’m sorry. I’ve tried a number of things, experimented with different kinds of posts and content. Some of them worked, some didn’t. With summer vacation a week away, I’m here to tell you we are going back to the basics. Basically. Lots of DIY goodness, delectable recipes and a few personal posts to keep things interesting. The post number is going to stay at 3-4 a week and it’s going to be fantastic.

I don’t have everything figured out yet but I’m positive I will and the journey will be compelling. Thanks for sticking around and hanging with me through it. I appreciate you.

Have a fantastic week!

  1. You definitely don’t owe us any apologies! You’re light-years ahead of me in terms of blog content, so congrats on all that you’ve done so far… and good luck with all that you hope to do!

  2. The hits just keep on coming, don’t they? I totally hear you – that at least on the weekend, I’m not by myself dealing with appliance failures, kids’ needs, and and and. Hope the weekend brings some respite and bursts of creativity!

  3. I totally understand Amy! I’m feeling the struggle to find balance between myself, my family and my business and with summer vacation starting this coming week, the struggle will be a little tougher until the balance is found again.
