We had a lovely Easter weekend and celebration. I carried on the family tradition of sewing holiday clothing into the late hours the night before. Gotta work on my time management.:)
Sweet J started the house-tossing early. He looked like such a boy in his tee and sweats; it’s hard to find the baby anymore.
Love Bug was over the moon for her suitcase. She dragged it around the house all week, full of her treasures.
And Love Bug had to wear her ‘clicky’ shoes. We do Easter baskets in high style at our house.
We got all gussied up for church and afterwards, it was picture time. I might have gotten a little snippy during the process. Thank goodness my family loves me anyway. The cooperation lasted for this picture.
More pictures below..
And this where the cooperation ended.
I did try to get pictures with them but it was not to be. I love J’s face.
Good enough.
Everyone seemed to do better with Dad. Maybe it was Momma cracking the whip…
Then I begged to take a few more; separate was better.
I thought about making her a dress but then I saw this blue number at the big T and fell in love. Blue is her color. Bug was getting impatient with me so I asked her to jump.
Pretty much my favorite shot.
When did she get so big?
Then it was the little guy’s turn, after his nap. I wanted him on the grass for better color and background but he didn’t like it because it was hard to traverse.
Oh my little baby. He’s going to be one next month already.
I made his little seersucker pants using another pair of his as a template. It’s the first pair of pants I’ve ever made and I love how they turned out. I used a bit of the seersucker for the faux tie on his onesie. He looked so dapper.
It’s tough being a little guy.
I love running pics. Or, in his case, trying to run pics.
Oh, my beating heart.
Thanks for sharing our holiday. Hope yours was just as precious.
Have a great weekend.
Take care.
