Here’s the truth:
Sometimes I don’t feel like making treats from scratch. Sometimes the prepacked variety fit the bill. Especially when they are already so festive.
However, I can’t change my stripes so I had to mess with them, just a little.
To add a little extra Halloween to these Oreos, I used:
– candy melts, almond bark
– sprinkles, mini chocolate chips
– parchment paper
Since this holiday isn’t my favorite, most of the items I used aren’t decidedly Halloween. I like supplies that can be used anytime.
Lay out parchment paper and started dipping the cookies. It’s a messy process but remember, the cookies were pre-made so we can spend a little time on this.
Then add the toppings. Bug enjoyed adding some of the toppings. Those little sprinkle balls go everywhere! I used the mini chips to make little jack-o-lanterns and little ghosts.
Allow them to set. That’s it!
And they are good.
Like really, really good.
These make an extra festive addition to the holiday.
One issue: There are not enough cookies in the package. :)
Take care.
Oh my….. these look amazing and relatively easy! Thanks for the idea!
It was great to meet you tonight at the Alt Class resource party!

These are so fun! Sometimes it’s so nice to not do EVERYTHING from scratch – way to make the most out of some store-bought goodness!
