Merry Christmas!!
I know you have tons of fun to get back to so I’ll be quick. This appetizer sounds like a strange combination of flavors. Cheese, pecans, mayo and strawberry preserves? When my mom first explained it to me a few years ago, I think I said something to the effect that I probably wouldn’t be eating it. She insisted that I at least try it and now it’s a family favorite, especially during the holidays.
Cheese, pecans, mayonnaise, spices and onion come together to make a savory delight for the taste buds. The mixture is pressed into two pie plates and refrigerated until it’s time to eat. Right before serving, it’s topped with strawberry preserves. Serve with a sturdy crackers for scooping.
The sweet and salty mix is irresistible and you may find it hard to stop eating. Yum!
