Merry Christmas!
I hope you are gathered with your loved ones, if even the ‘gathering’ is through the telephone or computer. Love them, laugh with them and enjoy them. They are the best gift of all.
I love music and, of course, love the carols sung at this time of year. While searching for videos of my college’s Christmas program, I found one of a song I was actually a part of while I was there. It was the final song of the concert that year and all 700+ singers were joined in with the whole orchestra. Hope for Resolution is not a traditional carol but it is one of my favorite songs. It still makes me teary-eyed; music moves me.
Here’s the video if you’d like to hear it. The ‘video’ is a still picture of the whole group, including the children singers. Can’t see me but I’m in the red group.
These are the lyrics:
Of the Father’s love begotten
Ere the worlds began to be,
He is Alpha and Omega,
He the Source, the Ending He,
Of the things that are, that have been,
And that future years shall see
Evermore and evermore.
O that birth forever blessed,
when the virgin, full of grace,
By the Holy Ghost conceiving,
bare the Savior of our race;
And the Babe, the world’s Redeemer,
First revealed His sacred face,
evermore and evermore!
O ye heights of heaven, adore Him;
Angel hosts, His praises sing;
Powers, dominions, bow before Him
And extol our God and King.
Let no tongue on earth be silent,
Every voice in concert ring
Evermore and evermore.

Before you go, a small thank you from me to you.
Thank you so much for stopping by my little place. Thanks for the comments, the kind messages and your patronage. While you know a whole lot more about me than I do you, I feel like we’re friends. Artsy, foodie, craft-obsessed friends. Just my type. :)
So snuggle in close, hold those loved ones tight.
See you in a few.
Take care.
