In my opinion, my purse got ten times heavier when I became a mom. Not one for a diaper bag, I stuff and carry everything in one place. Diapers and wipes got mixed in with my billfold and checkbook, pacifiers next to lip balms and glosses, snacks packed by the sunglasses. One big happy, heavy carryall.
The items I carry have changed depending on what stage we are in. The diapers and pacifiers are again gone and in their place, colored pencils and an ever revolving collection of toys, knickknacks and hair accessories. One item still high on the priority list is tissues because if it’s not my nose (or eyes), there are two others in need. And they are always in need.
Kleenex has redesigned their on-the-go pouches and I actually squealed when I first saw them in SLC in January. I am a nerd and I get all excited about redesigns. The shape and appearance has completely changed and, as a visual person, it’s changed for the better. Bold designs by Issac Mizrahi cover the exterior while Kleenex tissues rest comfortably (and organized) inside. I even admire the flat finish on the packages! Like I said, I’m a nerd. The red pouch above fits perfectly, color-wise, and it makes me smile when I fetch it from the sea of items swimming around in my purse. Love Bug took a liking as well; they made the cut for her purse too.
This new package is definitely a better option than a wad of tissues tumbling unprotected in my purse (or wherever else I’ve tucked them). I’m fairly sure I am not the only one who does it, at least, I hope not. The tissues start out so pristine and clean but by the time the last one is used, they hardly resemble their former selves. These Kleenex packages can go everywhere you go, can be tucked in every place you need them. And they will look good doing it. Want to find a design that fits you?
