Mirror Mirror On the Wall

Happy Monday!

It’s a good Monday here at our house because MJ is home with us. I bet he’s wondering what I’m going to get him to do today……. :)

I did a very simple facelift, a quick-fix, on an acquired mirror for our dining room.

I had a thought that a mirror would bring some light, some space to our dining area. Not wanting to spend a lot of money on one, I did some checking to see if there was a mirror sitting around not being used. As luck would have it, there was. My kind mother-in-law had one in storage and kindly let me have it.

I liked the size and the frame pattern but the color was too cool for the room.

To fix it, I took some brown acrylic and, in sections, covered the frame.

After covering a section, I used a cotton rag to rub away the paint on the raised metallic design.

It turned out great.

Sorry for all the fingerprints.

And the color goes better.

Easy, peasy, right?

I totally agree.

My favorite part of this project wasn’t the project at all.

See where all the fingerprints came from? Still should have cleaned them though….

I loved watching him.

Manly growl!!!!!

My sweet boy.

Take care.
