On Friday, I shared about Transfer Image Charms. And today, for Project PINK! on The Artsy Girl Connection, I’m sharing a special pink key chain.
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago and, after undergoing treatment, is today, thankfully, cancer-free so breast cancer awareness is close to my heart. This key chain is for her. (Hi Mom!)
Like with the Transfer Image Charms, I started with a plain wooden piece and two pink images, one for each side.
Plus, some gel medium.
After painting the wooden piece white, I added a even layer of gel medium then put the charm image face down and rubbed it down well. I repeated this for the the other side. Then let it all dry.
When it was completely dried, I used a rag to dampen the image. Gently rubbing with my fingers, I removed the excess paper to reveal the transfer.
Might have to do it more than once.
I added some pink paint around the ribbon image.
I used a silver painter pen on the edges and to add some accents.
Edges.
Silver accents.
Next, I drilled a hole for the jump ring.
Added the jump ring and the key chain ring. And that’s it.

Happy Project PINK!
Take care.
