Roasted Corn

I’m lovin’ roasting corn on the grill at the moment. It’s so easy and sooooooo good. With corn piling into grocery stores, it’s the perfect time to give this a try.

How to Roast Corn

1. Soak the ears of corn, husk and all, for anywhere between 45 minutes to 2 hours. This wets the husks so they won’t start on fire while on the grill; instead, the wet husks will steam the corn.

*If the ears have an abundance of husk layers, remove a few of the outer ones.

2. Over a medium heat grill, place the ears and allow to cook between 20-30 minutes. Rotate the ears a few times so all the sides get time on the grill surface.

3. When the cooking is complete, remove from the grill, remove the husks and silk (which easily pull away after the roasting) and enjoy. I like mine with the basics: butter, salt and fresh ground pepper.

There are many other ways of roasting corn, some with olive oil or butter rubbed on before, with different spices added in; this is basic roasting. And it’s delcious.

Happy Friday!

Take care.
