Sticker Cards

HELLO! (picture me waving furiously) I’m finally back at my computer, a device that hasn’t been on for a whole week, which, in computer years is 14 or so. We aren’t completely back into things here however. There are a few items left to unpack from our week in Iowa and I am trying to stifle the urge to go through all our belongings (again) to clean things out. It would make me feel better but that time will come with the house switcharoo here shortly. Plus, today starts our week long family ‘stay-cation’, where, instead of traveling far for a vacation, we are staying home but actively checking out the fun, interesting things in our own backyard, so to speak. I’m excited for us all to be together and enjoy the cool things nearby.

But it feels good to be home, back to our life, so for today, a very, very (very!) simple DIY. This one can be done wherever you are because all you need is:

  • blank cards (with envelopes is even better)
  • stickers

With those things, you can make:

I like to scope out the stores when I visit places, just to see new things. This time, I found cute, cute stickers for $1 and immediately thought of their use on cards. The cupcakes were my favorite. When I got back to my mom’s, I ransacked her collection of folded, blank cards and whipped these up tute sweet. Thanks for the cards, Mom.

Easiest thing ever.

Bug and I did our stickering together. She loves stickers and had fun making her own cards. She carried them around for most of the week.

Aren’t they cute?

I love the little silver edge on each one.

The usage of hearts is right up my alley too.

I thought about writing a little something on the front like ‘celebrate’ or ‘party’ but I liked the simplicity of just the cupcakes.

Tuck each into its own envelope and delightful birthday greetings will be well on their way.

Feels so good to be back.

Take care.

PS. Mom, could you go back to the store and by out all the cupcake stickers?

And maybe the sweet little elephants, too? :)
