Burgers on the grill are a summertime must. Patties with cheese are part of the reason I would never make it as a vegetarian. :) But, like any other long-term relationship, you gotta spice things up every once in a while. These stuffed bacon burgers have all the regular dressings – cheese, ketchup, bacon, etc – but also have a whole medley of seasonings – basil, salt, pepper, garlic, onion and Parmesan cheese – to kick it up a notch.
One thing to note is the burgers, with all the add-ins, do have the tendency to crumble and fall apart. Take care to mix the ingredients well and when shaping the patties, press them together firmly. The real test come with flipping the burger; turn them gently. It would be a shame to lose one of these beauties to the fiery flames of the grill.
