Thankful Thanksgiving

In our daily lives, we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful but the gratefulness that makes us happy.

-Albert Clarke

I am so thankful for the abundance and excess I have in my life; for extra food in my cupboards, closets full of clothing, comfy beds, a working furnace and AC, to name just a few.

I am thankful for a husband I love and love laughing with. I’m thankful I like being around him so much that occasionally I get mad at him when he is late getting home.

I am thankful for the curly head on my sweet Love Bug. I am thankful for her gregarious, exuberant spirit and the sparkle in her eyes.

I am thankful for my hunk-of-chunk Sweet J. I am thankful for each smile, laugh and snuggle.

I am thankful for our family. Really, they are the best people on the earth. I am thankful for the fancy, shmancy electronics we have that allow us to talk to, see and share our lives with our family, near and far.

I am thankful for friends, the family we’ve chosen.

I am thankful for new life and for peace.

I am thankful for so much. Every day I am thankful. Every breath, every smile, every sunrise and sunset, every giggle. I stand in amazement and reverence at the great gifts God has given me and wonder how I can ever utter words of complaint.

I am blessed.

Take care.

Filled with thankfulness,
