Hope everyone is coming down off their trick-or-treat induced sugar high and the headache isn’t too bad.
I finally started a small project yesterday after the materials sat on my counter for three weeks or so. I think I instinctively knew it was going to be a bugger.
You all have met my kitchen before when I posted about the fabric-wrapped cork boards and the mini-makeover, which was the addition of a large pantry cupboard, but here are a few newer before shots.
Don’t look at the counter color. Its days are numbered. Another one of those little-yet-humongous projects.
And then this is my little project.
Stenciling.
Doesn’t seem intimidating. Doesn’t seem like all that much to stencil. Just between the bottom of the cupboards and the counter, right?
Well, I’m here to tell you that it is a lot of work and takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r.
But, darn it, I like it so I have to keep on going.
Hope to post on the whole project later in the week. I can do it. I can do it. I can do it.
Might have to pilfer some candy from Love Bug’s stash to perk up…
Take care.

Amy,
Love the stenciling! It looks great! I always start a project and think I will be able to knock it out in no time, and then realize it is going to take me forever to finish it! You did a great job! Thanks for sharing! :)

Sounds like you are going to paint your counters in the near future. We wanted to do that this fall too but ran out of warm days (want to be able to open the house so Lucas doesn’t breath in the nasty paint/sealant fumes). We were going to use this blog as a guide.
