If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my share last week about wanting to learn more about watercoloring this year. Not just do more with watercolors but actually learn something about the process, the art. Watercolor work, the non-landscape stuff, has always intrigued me. I love the lights and darks, the opaque and the translucent. And honestly, it is so peaceful. Instead of going to bed one night over the weekend, I unwound by watercoloring. It was wonderful.
Hearts are a shape I love to paint. I painted a series of them in my former artist days (and they are around here somewhere) and with Valentine’s Day in the air, it was a good place for experiments. There are so many shapes and versions to try! Again, I really enjoyed myself. This watercolor print is part handmade, part digital, which, if you can remember all the way back to the start of January, fits in with another goal – to create more digitally. I’m still learning, still gaining knowledge but I created this print and it’s free for you today.
You can download the watercolor hearts print here.
For personal use only.
I printed your watercolor heart picture. Love it! I’m linking your printable on my blog tomorrow on my Valentine decoration post. Hope you check it out. Thanks!
