As I mentioned yesterday, I loved the food Chef Julian made for our tour group. Every last bite. And ever since the tour, I’ve been anxious to make the food here at home. Chef even graciously shared the recipe for the Banh Mi Pork Tian. Can’t wait to try that!
The first thing I tried was the watermelon appetizer. It’s so simple to do.
Slice up the watermelon, however you wish, removing the rind. I found it helpful to place the sliced melon on a towel for a short time before plating it to remove the excess water.
Repeat the slicing with the feta. Place on top of the watermelon.
Thinly chop fresh basil and sprinkle the strips on top.
Finally, drizzle with balsamic vinegar reduction. Eat immediately. Don’t know how to reduce balsamic? Check here.
Drizzling the balsamic is my favorite part.
