Week 20: Spring Fever

The temperatures this week feel more summer like than spring but spring it is. I am excited to get gardening even though I’m fairly lousy at it. Something about the watering is foreign to me. My mom, a green thumb personified, is sharing plants with me so the pressure is on to not kill them immediately. Can I get an amen for low maintenance perennials?

But spring is here. On a run with Sweet J (Bug was at preschool), I spotted a large amount of whiteness on the ground of the corner ahead. Thank goodness it was too warm for snow. The grass was instead blanketed with fluffy seeds from a nearby tree I couldn’t spot. I’d never seen so many seeds stuck in the grass before. I considered laying in it, making a ‘snow’ angel but refrained.

UPDATE!!

Just captured this emerging beauty this morning. Not sure the name. I mean, I think I know it but I don’t want to appear dim. :) It’s a plant from my mom so she’ll tell me. So excited to see it fully bloomed.

Take care.
