Being non-native to our state, we have to travel to see any family and we do lots of traveling during the holidays. To Wisconsin, to Iowa, to Wisconsin, to Iowa. You’d think with the repetition my packing skills would improve but you would be wrong. Haha! Along with clothes and toiletries for four people, we pack quite a few electronics too. I like to work a bit while we’re crossing state borders. Laptop, mouse, its charging cords, both for in the car and the house, my e-reader and my phone. Usually, I sit with it all around my feet so I can access it easily and I don’t have to crawl to the back to get anything. Some might say it’s claustrophobic but I like to say cozy. However, I’ve recently found an alternative to the coziness – the HP Stream tablet, a partnership between HP and Intel.
The HP Stream is a new kind of tablet with Intel Inside® and it packs a lot of power in a small size. It acts just like a computer or laptop and it fits right in your hand! This tablet includes features like:
-a 4G data plan, right out of the box
-1TB of cloud storage free for a year!
-and Office 365 – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote and Access, all free for 1 year
All that goodness buzzes along fast with the power of Intel Inside®. (Intel means it moves fast between applications which I love because I’m impatient. :) ) I can browse and edit blog text from my spot in the car, search for inspiration while lounging on the couch in my pajamas and read a book while I lay with my children at bedtime. Maybe even stream a few episodes while snacking. On the couch. Again in jammies. All that work, all on the same device.
This tablet is convenient even when we aren’t traveling. As a mom, my schedule isn’t really my own. School events, doctor appointments, play dates, rushing here, rushing there. And when we are home, one can never predict where the best play spot will be any given day. We are confined a bit at the moment but other times, the outdoors are our playroom. I like being able to adjust where I do my work. I like having the ability to move my work station wherever my children decide to play. The Stream can do so much without taking up too much lap space, just in case someone needs a momma snuggle. Right now, my tummy limits my lap space as it is.
My happy place is wherever my family is. My happy place is being there for my family when they need me and when they don’t. Working from my happy place is incorporating my work into my real life, without too much mess. With the capabilities of the HP Stream, I can do just that.
Really good but also filled with a faster processor.
Suitable for use in graphics and much more.
