Before We Go…

Before We Go... | this heart of mine

Hello! I know it’s been a little quiet here this week. I had plans for more things but I am finding so many other things to fill my time! Like, for instance, the bookcases above. We put them together one night and installed them the next. It was a sweaty, profanity-sprinkled time. These shelves have helped better finish off the basement and whittle down the remaining boxes. It feels great!

I was late with sewing Halloween costumes. Late like the night before the children wore them in school. I’m saving the directions for next year but you can see my birdies on Instagram.

The holidays are here! I’ve teamed up with a bunch of other bloggers (24 of us!) to bring The Holiday Collective, pop-up holiday blog, to life. You can follow along on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. And, psst, I hear there is going to be a crazy, weeks long giveaway series starting at the end of November. Hooray!

November is National Diabetes Awareness month. After sharing about our newly minted TD1 profile (parts one, two & three), these is something on our radar. I hope to periodically share about our journey. I often wonder if I’ll find myself involved in education, fund raising or supportive roles in this new world. I guess we’ll see.

We put bird feeders on the deck and now have lots of cool birds to watch. Unfortunately, a couple of squirrels found them as well and we are constantly chasing them off. Makes me think of a favorite book of ours. Which makes me think of wombats and another favorite book.

We’ve been listening to Adele on repeat, have you?

My to-do list is epic and we are having friends over for dinner tonight. I’m off to get things done! Have a wonderful weekend.
