Love Bug and I traveled to my hometown this weekend to see family. We were able to see lots of family which was very enjoyable.
During my stay, my mom requested some shots of her beautiful and numerous daylilies. Daylilies come in a plethora of colors. Then there are the ones with ruffles, some whose outer edge has color, some with a double bloom and some that resemble roses, among other variations. They bloom at sunrise and wither by sundown, which is sad for their beauty is fleeting.
I know this much about daylilies but one doesn’t need to know much to love them.
So, in the dusky, evening light and then again in the early dawn light, I braved the swarms of mosquitoes and two drive-byes of the mosquito truck blowing mosquito-killing fog, and captured the pretty faces of the her flowers. This isn’t all of them either.
Happy Monday!
