Love Bug and I spent the better part of last week in Iowa visiting my parents. We had a wonderful time though I was completely exhausted by the end. Bug tends to do that to people. We went swimming, went on walks, made applesauce, sewed a few projects, started another holiday project and just had a good old time. Then, to round out the week, we had some family pictures taken by a good friend of mine who is starting a photography business.
It was a great week and I spent most of yesterday recovering on the couch.
Here are some shots of our travels.
Nana, Love Bug & Papa C. And thought it looks like it, my mother didn’t have a drop to drink. Ha!
Bug had raided Nana closet and picked out the beautiful black cardigan to add to her outfit.
Swinging with C. and Papa J.
Swinging with Papa J
This poor gourd thought he made it out. But alas, his huge patootie got stuck.
Some painting.
Nighttime shenanigans! Wearing mom’s tennies and carrying around her precious things in an Aveda sack.
One of the precious treasures: a disposable camera. So we had an impromptu photo shoot.
This shot was supposed to be of baby Henry, the horse in a dashing polka dotted rain coat but Love Bug was not okay with that. When she and MJ went to the park, she insisted on bringing him. It was a bit rainy so he needed a rain coat. He looked very cute and stylish. Maybe I will be able to catch it another time.
And to round out the weekend, a batter face. Delicious.
Hope to share our photo shoot later in the week along with some yummy recipes and fun projects.
Take care!!
